Reginald Abrams practices in the area of school law where he serves as the General Counsel for the Caddo Parish School Board in Shreveport, Louisiana. As the primary counsel for the School Board, he provides legal opinions, advises the board on legal issues, reviews policies, attends board meetings, works on cases regarding student disciplinary infractions and measures, special education, and budgetary concerns. He also handles litigation issues relating to insurance defense and commercial litigation matters.

In 1989, he served as Director for Blanchard, Walker, O’Quin & Roberts Law Corporation; in 1995 he became partner of Abrams & Lafargue, L.L.C., and in 2019 formed the Law Office of Reginald W. Abrams, Sr., L.L.C. after his long-time partner moved to New Orleans. He also served as a law clerk under the Louisiana Second Circuit Court of Appeal. Prior to law school, Mr. Abrams was a pharmacist at K&B Drugs in Baton Rouge and LSU Health Center in Shreveport.
